But it's something I should have done a long time ago. The jacket itself is a combination of supreme durability and stylish finesse. It's snug enough where it doesn't look frumpy, yet professional enough to wear to work. If you are on the bulkier side of male frames, then visit a dealer and try it on first before purchasing. I'm 5'7" 150 lbs, wear mens small in shirts, and a 38 S in jackets. The high collar offers excellent wind protection. The hood is also a good size and will fit just about any sized head.
The best feature IMO is the pocket on the back. Amazon. Atom AR Hoody / Men's. ....which may explain the problems some are having.
I'll try to explain what I mean. For a long time there was the Atom LT, and it's bigger brother, the SV. Except you couldn't really tell, because they were actually quite different pieces. The LT had breathable side panels, the SV a hood adjuster, different face fabric, very different collar, and a completely different fit. Where the LT was svelte, the SV was capacious, to say the least. They felt like two pieces that had been conceived and designed at different times, by different people, and as such were a little at odds with each other, in my book.
That's certainly not the case now. But for some, that's clearly the problem. On the evidence of several of the reviews on this site (and others), many have expected a slightly warmer version of the SV, and it isn't. For me, this doesn't present a problem at all.
