And for one beautiful day in downtown Montreal, I shared his love of Aston Martins as I sampled the all-new Virage and V8 Vantage S. Both were earlier revealed at the Geneva Auto Show in March. To the untrained eye all Aston Martins look the same, but after a quick sampling it was obvious that, despite their similarity in exterior and interior designs, these are very different cars with distinct personalities and purposes. First up was the Virage, Aston’s newest offering. This model’s unveiling increases Aston Martin’s product offerings to the largest in the company’s nearly 100-year history. Like all Aston Martins, the entire vehicle is hand-built and completely customizable by the customer.
Starting any Aston Martin is an experience. Aston Martin One-77, Episode 4 Aston-Martin One-77. Anybody that can proudly say they have a Ferrari FF, a Lamborghini Aventador , a Bentley Continental GT, and a Mercedes SLS AMG in their garage can lay claim to a pretty impressive supercar collection. But in true spirit of Dubai’s opulence and love for the bombastic, its police force has just dressed up these four supercars in its official livery. But that’s not why the force has made news yet again. Nope. Into the mix. In an event photo posted by GT Spirit, it appears that the Dubai Police force is taking its fascination for exotic police cars to a whole new level. More importantly, it’s one of just seven Q-Series One-77 models that are in existence that it decided to deck in its now-familiar white and green garb.
At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Dubai Police gets its hands on a Bugatti Veyron and turns that one into a police car, too. In March we got One-77 technical specs and pre-production performance numbers. Carrying a base price of a cool EU 1 million and headed for final production in a limited run of only 77 units, the One-77 is undoubtedly targeted at the type of attention-seeking car customer probably not too affected by the global economic recession currently gripping the auto industry as a whole.
