We are at our little cottage in Dalarna and we are fixing it up. So we are able to use it even in the winter. (Dalarna is in th middle/north of Sweden. To me and Jenny it’s north but Sweden is a very tall country so I guess we are not even in the middle).

JR celebrated a big birthday a few weeks ago, and he's notoriously hard to buy gifts for. The kids and I thought long and hard about what to get him and decided to give him a collection of different gourmet root beers. JR really likes a good root beer (his favorite right now is Virgil's ). Because JR was turning 40, we collected 40 different kinds and added a numbered label to the top of each bottle cap.

For quite some time now, Dorothée et Gabriella have offered kits with all the elements for children’s tea parties, with themes ranging from princesses to explorers. After both studying history of art, Dorothee started writing fairy stories based on current events for magazines such as Milk and Art Press, while Gabriella established herself as an interior designer. When they both become full time mothers, they wanted to give their children the best ever birthday parties, even though they were quite stressed and busy.
Matilda's playgroup certainly got off to a beautiful, celebratory start! Ariel describes the affair: These are actually photos of a kickoff celebration I threw for a playgroup I started here in Austin. I began the group to socialize my daughter, Matilda, and find other like-minded mothers interested in all things DIY and home style blog related. The name of the group was "Buffalo Bebes." I was inspired by the rustic, wilderness style I had seen reflected in clothing and home decor at that time and the classic children's story- "Where the Wild Things Are."
