Want to help spread the word about BOINC? One way is to talk about it at a meeting of your local computer user's group. A BOINC user describes his experience doing this . 6 Mar 2012 | 22:24:47 UTC · Comment Welcome SAT@home The SAT@home project , from the Institute for Systems Analysis of Russian Academy of Sciences, solves hard and practically important problems (discrete functions inversion problems, discrete optimization, bioinformatics, etc) that can be effectively reduced to the Boolean satisfiability problem. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/

SETIBZH stats

http://statsbzh.boinc-af.org/ So, what is it all about? As you may all know, some BOINC projects started supporting graphic cards: this litterally blew up the credit ratios and a host power made available for BOINC and grid computing in general. GPU power reaches such level that our poor CPUs now seem somewhat slow when you compare. Nevertheless, a CPU still remains a must for any non-linear calculation depending on complex algorithms. So, in order to give back our CPUs the glory they deserve, we created a new way to count credits for projects where no GPU application is available: this is our CPU RACE.
