The Pixies
Pixies - Wikipédia
Un article de Wikipédia, l'encyclopédie libre. Pixies est un groupe de rock alternatif américain formé en 1986 [ 1 ] à Boston , Massachusetts [ 2 ] . Le groupe s’est séparé en janvier 1993 dans des conditions quelque peu houleuses, mais s’est reformé en avril 2004 . Depuis l'origine, il est constitué de 4 membres : Black Francis (né Charles Thompson IV, et ayant aujourd'hui pour nom d'artiste Frank Black ) (chant et guitare rythmique), Joey Santiago (guitare lead), Kim Deal (basse et chant) et David Lovering (batterie). Le groupe n'a rencontré qu'un modeste succès dans son pays d'origine, mais a été beaucoup mieux accueilli en Europe, sans que pour autant ses albums touchent le grand public [ 3 ] . La musique des Pixies puise notamment ses influences dans le punk rock et la surf music des années 1960 , et se caractérise par sa richesse mélodique, sa dynamique particulière (couplets calmes et refrains endiablés).

The Pixies have commemorated the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking Doolittle album by allowing us to record each and every show on their Doolittle Live tour! We are pleased to be offering limited edition, numbered CD sets for the artist above. These are high-quality double-disc CD sets which are individually numbered (2009 Pixies shows only) and includes the date and venue of the performance. Not to be confused with a "sound board" recording, these discs are fully mixed and mastered on the fly and are true collectors items. Only a few of each of these products will ever be made! Product availability is subject to the date of the concert.

Five years. That's all it took for Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton) and Daniele Luppi to turn their love of old Italian film scores into a new musical project called Rome. Then again, considering the album features Jack White and Norah Jones , plus musicians who performed on the original Ennio Morricone scores, it's pretty clear why Rome wasn't built in a day. Speaking to the Guardian last November , Burton described his passion for Piero Umiliani, Bruno Nicolai and Piero Piccioni – something few people would have expected when the producer first came to prominence in 2004 following his Beatles/Jay-Z mash-up, the Grey Album.
