Fairwinds' Circumnavigation of Ireland June - August 2004
Fairwinds is an Albin Vega, a 31 year old 27ft sailing yacht based in Balvicar, near Oban. This is the log of her circumnavigation of Ireland in the Summer of 2004, crewed by Nick & Kathy Bowles. Prince Bio
Prince Bio is a Jeanneau Sun Legend 41, owned by Gérard Deleplanque and David Burden, based in Lézardrieux, Brittany. We have sailed to the UK, to Ireland, to Spain and have cruised extensively around Brittany. In 2007 we tried to take her to St. Petersburg in Russia and had a small incident with the Russian Coastguard and an almost new five cylinder Nannidiesel engine that blew up without apparent cause. We replaced the engine and cruised throughout the summer in Finland and Sweden. We loved the Baltic and laid up for the winter at Oxelosund near Nykoping.
