Association of Cycle Traders The Association of Cycle Traders, best known as the ACT, is the largest cycling trade organisation in the UK and one of the most progressive trade associations in the outdoor, leisure and sports arenas. ACT is a non-profit making, membership organisation, which represents the interests of c.3000 specialist independent cycle shops, hire centres, workshops and their supply partners throughout the UK.
Established early last century, ACT is committed to the support and longevity of speciality cycle retailing, delivering width of consumer choice, service and value. ACT recognise that people are at the heart of speciality retail and is committed to supporting the recruitment and development of quality individuals throughout the UK cycle trade. ACT developed and owns Cytech, the bicycle industry's training and accreditation scheme for cycle mechanics and retail staff.
