Collodion humide. Un article de Wikipédia, l'encyclopédie libre. Le Collodion humide est un procédé photographique inventé par l'anglais Frederick Scott Archer[1] en 1851. Historique[modifier | modifier le code] Ce procédé a connu une grande popularité jusqu'aux années 1870 - 1880 environ car il permettait d'obtenir des clichés d'une grande finesse et de rendre une gamme de gris particulièrement étendue.
Il présentait toutefois un inconvénient majeur : le négatif devait être préparé, exposé, puis développé en un temps très court, car une fois sec il devenait insensible et, si la prise de vue avait déjà été faite, impossible à développer. C'est ce procédé qu'a utilisé le photographe Eadweard Muybridge pour produire des instantanés du galop des chevaux. En 2010, le Centre Iris pour la photographie, à Paris, a accueilli une exposition de photographies du photographe américain Quinn Jacobson, qui utilise la technique du collodion humide pour tirer ses clichés. Tintypes on Behance. I have a tintype portrait studio called Photobooth, on Valencia Street in San Francisco. Over the past year, I've had about 3500 people come through the door, sit in front of the camera and have their portrait made. Some of them came looking for me and some just wandered in and asked what we were doing there. Either way, I do not choose who I photograph, and I like the exercise of being constantly confronted with new people and having to figure out what I find interesting about them. I prepare each tintype plate by hand and make a single exposure of each person (occasionally two, if I make a mistake).
