Welcome to the Toast Collective
Located at 648 Kingsway in Mount Pleasant, East Van, the Toast Collective is a collectively-run space that helps build capacity in the communty by hosting and facilitating D.I.Y. (do it yourself) based projects & workshops. We also like to provide artists with an accessible showcase for their work (gallery, acoustic music venue).
And here is a reading (after the institute we’ll get many of the readings from the courses up here) but for now this is one that we gave to everyone!
Purple Thistle Institute
The Thistle is a youth-run community centre for arts and activism. Located in East Vancouver, we are a free place (both free-of-charge, and we are interested in freedom) where youth can engage with each other and their community. The Centre is a physical space to root ourselves, a place to work together, and a site to learn new ways for radical organizing for social change.
