How much does my digital dossier contribute to my online identity? How do I build the online identity that I want? Consider these questions as you review the examples below. Try the quiz from the left menu: What Have You Learned? Connected Learning Infographic. Christianity Timeline. Perspectives on the Iowa Core - Rigor and Relevance Framework. The Iowa Core Curriculum was shaped in part by the work of the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE). The framework presents rigor and relevance in four quadrants, with Quadrant A representing lower order thinking and content knowledge unconnected to other disciplines or the real world, and Quadrant D representing higher order thinking and disciplinary content connected to real world predictable and unpredictable situations.

The International Center contends that schools need to focus on providing more Quadrant D types of learning for students. The Iowa Core used this framework to illustrate different pedagogical models for instruction of its essential concepts and skills. Teachers will recognize that Quadrant D examples are both more challenging and engaging for students and may try to design their own instruction in ways that imitate those characteristics.
