Six Business Surveys You Can Use Today

The sole reason your business exists is to fulfill needs. Your product or service fulfills your customers’ needs. Their purchases fulfill your business’ needs (and in turn, yours). Your business fulfills your employees’ needs, and so on. Fortunately, systems can be put in place to support this end result. A common, and often overlooked, way to gather this data is by conducting surveys. We asked Cameron Madill, President and Co-Founder of Synotac, a Portland based web design and digital marketing firm, to provide us with an article about useful surveys that offer small business owners the data they need to increase performance immediately. With the advances in technology over the last ten years, it has become much easier for businesses to create and deliver surveys. 1. 2. 3.

'DAMN-IT' acronym offers practical diagnostic aid

Diagnosis of specific causes of various clinical disorders is of importance because it facilitates: 1) accurate forecasts (e.g. prognosis) of the biological behavior of the disorder, and, 2) selection of specific (rather than symptomatic or supportive) therapy for the disorder. However, diagnoses are often a matter of opinion rather than matter of fact. In fact, isn't it true that most diagnoses often require us to make decisions in the absence of certainty?

Our diagnoses are based on probability. This being the case, we must use caution not to fall into the trap of making diagnoses on the basis of faulty logic or insufficient information. Shortcuts in diagnostic reasoning tend to become increasingly prevalent when veterinarians are subjected to the pressures of a high caseload in a busy hospital. Spier, DVM, PhD, DACVIM Florida Veterinary Specialists Tampa, Florida Introduction The approach to the management of heart disease in dogs can be a challenge. The diagnosis of heart disease cannot be solely based on physical examination, as diagnostics are required to make a definitive diagnosis. Of particular importance is the need to not only determine which patients have heart disease, but to differentiate those whose heart disease is the cause for clinical signs noted by pet owners. Categories The current classification scheme is based on the presence or absence of heart disease, and is further subdivided based on the presence of CHF. Group A Patients in group A do not have heart disease. Group B Patients in group B have underlying heart disease, but represent a wide spectrum of disease severity. Dogs in the B2 subdivision are defined as having heart disease with evidence of remodeling. Www.aahanet.org/PublicDocuments/FelineLifeStageGuidelines.pdf. Publications. AAHA Guidelines.
