A Shaving Of The Horn That Speared You

Starkey on Mary Anne Hobbs / XFM 30 June 2011. I have a long history with Starkey. He first sprang on to my radar with the amazing track 'Bounce' in 2007. All the dubstep I was into at the time was coming out of the UK and this didn't sound anything like it. With a big hip hop influence it owed more to grime than dubstep. This was just proof that Starkey had been cultivating his own style without influence from the UK scene.

http://rcrdlbl.com/ Oakland metal band High On Fire just released its sixth album, De Vermis Mysteriis , via eOne Music . “Kings Of Days” was recorded with producer and Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou in Salem, MA, and the sludgy track showcases the band’s signature brawny stoner-metal style, propelled by singer/guitarist Matt Pike’s guttural vocals and searing riffs. The track is seven minutes long, which is more than enough time to convince you that it’s awesome. Here, murky discopop Londoners Visions of Trees take on Sonic Youth ’s “Expressway To Your Skull,” turning it into some sort of industrial anthem for a documentary about the demise of a glue-sniffing, underage Ukrainian discotheque rave crew in 1991.
Welcome to Ohh crapp, the online spot to find the best indie music out there. There is no one more passionate about making music than indie artists and indie bands. No, I am not saying that all those big artists out there with lucrative contracts don't love music, but because more money is dedicated towards marketing them, they tend to become more of a product, forgetting about the passion for music that land them that big contract in the first place. Thanks to this love for music and the newer, cheaper recording devices and instruments (and let's not forget the internet), is that more people are doing music than ever before.

Penguin Prison are on tour with Miiike Snow and if you haven’t caught them lately you should go check them out! With the voice that can make any teenage girl swoon it’s no doubt panties will be flying. Their latest single ”Multi-Millionaire”, which you can listen to below has a little Prince vibe to it that we can definitely groove to. What better way to celebrate their current tour and single release than with an awesome contest?! http://this.bigstereo.net/
