When I first started looking at ultra-lightweight travel trailers, there were very few models available in the marketplace. That was during the boom years of the big Class A RVs. Several manufactures tried marketing smaller trailers, and most ended up being discontinued due to lack of sales. Fast forward to 2008 with the high gas prices and nationwide economic problems, and we find that the small travel trailer is undergoing a renaissance.
