After many years of collecting image after image of cool looking apartments and houses, this remains one of my top favorites.
This is the two bedroom apartment of the band, Blonde Redhead. The two main singers are married, I believe, and were featured in Domino awhile back. I tore out and pasted these images into the very first pages of my inspiration notebook and not much else has topped it yet. I wouldn’t call their apartment amazing in any design-related context, but I really love that their apartment is clean, yet very casually put together with the use of such soft colors (even though I do enjoy brighter colors, too, and are probably more naturally attracted to them) and really awesome antiques and old wallpapers. Someday when Malachi and I get a bigger place I will try to emulate the feel of this apartment. Like this: Like Loading... Eclectic swedish home. This eclectic interior has been featured on several blogs lately but I want to show it to you anyway, in case you haven’t seen it yet.
This beautiful Swedish home belongs to decorator Marie Olsson Nylander. The gorgeous desk was a bargain sale (why do I never find sales like this..). The lamp is designed by Marie herself. I like the colorful accents which can be found through the entire house. The blue kitchen island was bought in Czech Republic. Marie’s creative home office. Son Otto’s room. For today we would like to show you a beautiful small apartment (61 sqare meters) located in Sweden.
You are looking at a crib that is perfect for socializing but also for meditation in solitude. With wide and spacious interiors, this home looks very warm and inviting. The color palette is cheerful, yet subtle and tasteful. A large living room greets the guests with its homey feel: pillows on the floor, plenty of books to chose from.
