Clean&Cozy Studios in City Center/A à Istanbul. The room was no way as nice as on the photo and the "terrasse" was filthy and nothing like the photos, I know it was winter but still, they could have put some benches and a shelter.
The streets were "dangerous" for 2 women on their own, wild dogs, people arguing, dark streets, filthy environment it was like "the zone" of the worst neighbourhood in the ghetto. I am not at all adverse to this kind of area but when you come as a tourist, please let us know the kind of neighbourhood we're in?
We got used to it by the third night, but only because we got a taxi TO THE DOOR every night.NEVER would I have walked on my own. And also don't forget in this kind of dumpy area, we paid 33€ EACH per night, far too expensive, far far too expensive, we are in a ghetto in Turkey, not Paris. As for the room. It should also be noted that Pinar lives in the United States and the person that owns the building is in Istanbul. There were a lot of miscommunication because the listing led us to believe that Pinar was the person in charge. We checked out 4 days early and moved to a new apartment. We originally booked apartment C-3 but when we arrived, there were problems with the internet and the listing was not consistent with what was described; in particular the apartment was smoking even though it was listed as non smoking.
