To be honest this is a genre and band I really don’t know at all, so my ideas about their music might not be that good or accurate. I guess that’s part of the point of doing this though. 1. Unknown Pleasures (1) 1979 - This is the one album I’ve really listened to by them.

I really like it. I love the opening song and how exciting it is at the same time as kind of bleak. - There is this really strong sense of depression throughout, but it’s not obvious. . - Maybe it’s because I don’t know this album or band very much, but each song isn’t really standing out to me. . - The songwriting actually seems really good, it’s just that they’re structured in this slow moving, sluggish way that puts more emphasis on the colours and sounds than songwriting. 2. . - This definitely feels like a progression of “Unknown Pleasures” but with a few changes that alter the feeling a lot. . - I really like how much more dynamic this one is. 3. . - It also seems way more layered than the Joy Division albums. 4. 5. 6. 7.
