Due to our CRAZY schedules, I thought I needed to do something to make “date nights” I priority. But, getting a sitter AND spending money on a fun night out gets SUPER expensive, SUPER fast. So, take a look at what I made… Each page has a sealed envelope that has a fun “date” for us. It includes things like… January: Movie Night (with candy and popcorn) February: Wine & Cheese Tasting March: Game Night April: “One of the Guys” Night (video games, pizza & wings) May: Make a Yummy Dessert Together June: Picnic in the backyard July: VIP Lounge August: Ice Cream Sundaes in the Kiddie Pool September: Jammies, Snacks and Shows in bed October: Pumpkin Carving/Painting while sipping on Pumpkin Spice Lattes November: Go through my Project Life and talk about the blessings of our year December: Drink Peppermint Mochas while we make Peanut Butter Balls and listen to our favorite Christmas music.

This week our party will be for boys...lots and lots of little boys. Very active little boys. I need activities. Lots of activities. When we were brainstorming ideas for movie night decorations we kept coming back to vintage marquees and movies signs. So we put together this DIY using foam core and poster board. This would be awesome in a driveway or on the front of a house telling people where the movie night is. My friend Brooke told me about these strands of super cheap globe lights from Target, which makes the whole project really affordable. While the materials aren’t too expensive this took us a whole afternoon to make.
