Get flash to fully experience Pearltrees
Crochet 101 Our extended crochet program is for those who want to get a rock solid foundation in this lovely craft. In these 4 classes the basic stitch patterns will be practiced and perfected. Students can try out their skills on either a crocheted washcloth (very functional favorites) or a scarf project. Circular or 3D crochet forms will also be covered and applied to a basic hat pattern and a crocheted toy.
by Britt Breu Created on : April 10, 2008 Introduction We all have different reasons for learning how to knit. Some learn at the feet of our elders, others look for a creative outlet, and many embrace the handmade and individual in a world of big-box homogenization. Whatever you reasons are, if you would like to join the ranks of knit-wits' and are looking for a guide to get you started, you have come to the right place.
Do you have a helpful hint or handy trick that will make any aspect of knitting easier? Share it! Post ideas on scrap yarn usages, stitch markers, color changing, maintaining your sanity while following a difficult pattern, etc. There is most probably someone out there that will benefit from your help. Need ideas yourself?

But finding free patterns takes a little more work than just using a search engine. Knowing where to look for the kind of patterns you want will save you many hours of sorting through unhelpful sites.
