Starry flower coaster - free pattern. I created this pretty coaster pattern last week and wanted to share it with you but couldn't find the time to photograph it.
Today my son asked me to make coffee cake for him. Though I was tired and my whole body was aching from a terrible bike ride on potholed roads yesterday and was very badly in need of rest in the afternoon I agreed almost immediately for the reason that I would have a good prop to photograph my coaster. Here is the pattern with step-by-step photographs for the very pretty starry flower coaster. I used worsted weight yarn and size G/4.00 mm hook. The pattern is written is American terms, so for my readers who use British terms, Sweetheart Love Flower. The snow that accumulated the last 2 days has pretty much completely melted, but I don't hold out much hope for warm weather until May. So, since I have only a few sad looking, frostbitten crocuses in my yard, I need to crochet flowers in order to feel vernal. So, here is my bluebell bookmark-- what do you think? This one is done with scraps of Sinfonia yarn, but size 3 cotton would work just as well. I used a 3mm hook.
