Star Trek: Enterprise. Star Trek: Enterprise (originally titled Enterprise for the first two seasons) is a science fiction TV series and a prequel to the original Star Trek.

Star Trek: Enterprise

The series premiered September 26, 2001 on the UPN television network with the final episode airing on May 13, 2005.[1] Production[edit] In May 2000, Rick Berman, executive producer of Star Trek: Voyager, revealed that a new series would premiere following the final season of Voyager.[3] Little news was forthcoming for months as Berman and Brannon Braga developed the untitled series, known only as "Series V", until February 2001, when Paramount signed Herman Zimmerman and John Eaves to production design Series V.[4] Within a month, scenic designer Michael Okuda, another long-time Trek veteran, was also signed.[5] Michael Westmore, make-up designer for Trek since Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG), was announced as working on Series V by the end of April.[6] Returning as director of photography would be Marvin V. Star Trek: Voyager. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (sometimes abbreviated to ST: DS9 or DS9) is a science fiction television series set in the Star Trek universe.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

The show is set in the Milky Way galaxy, in the years 2369 – 2375. Unlike the other Star Trek TV shows, it takes place on a space station instead of a starship, so as not to have two series with starships at the same time (the starship USS Defiant was introduced in season 3, but the station remained the primary setting for the show). This made continuing story arcs and the appearance of recurring characters much more feasible. The show is noted for its well-developed characters, its original, complex plots, religious themes and for starring the only African American captain of all the Star Trek series to be featured as the show's protagonist.

The series concentrated on darker themes, less physical exploration of space, and (in later seasons) an emphasis on many aspects of war. Star Trek: The Animated Series (originally known as simply Star Trek, but also known as The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek) is an animated science fiction television series set in the Star Trek universe following the events of Star Trek: The Original Series of the 1960s.

Star Trek: The Animated Series

The animated series was aired under the name Star Trek, but it has become widely known under this longer name (or abbreviated as ST: TAS or TAS) to differentiate it from the original live-action Star Trek. The success in syndication of the original live action series and fan pressure for a Star Trek revival led to The Animated Series from 1973–1974, as the source of new adventures of the Enterprise crew, the next being the 1979 live-action feature film Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Production[edit] The series was produced by Filmation in association with Paramount Television and ran for two seasons from 1973 to 1974 on NBC, airing a total of twenty-two half-hour episodes. The series was produced 1966–67 by Desilu Productions, and by Paramount Television 1968–69.
