2 Digit Window Frame

We had used dice, we had used Digit Cards, but I wanted something different. This is what I came up with, a 10 by 10 grid of numbers and small card with a rectangular hole in it. The rectangular hole (the Window Frame) is sized to match two adjacent squares on the 10 by 10 grid. The children drop the Window Frame down anywhere on the grid to instantly show a 2 Digit number. Alternatively, you can assess the children's understanding by asking them to look carefully at the 10 x 10 grid, locate a specific number and then "Frame it".
