How To Make A Clementine Candle (Awesome!) Please Share This Page: Google + stumbleupon tumblr reddit How To Make A Clementine Candle (Awesome!) We found a great video by Apartment Therapy TV which you are sure to love! Clementines are a variety of a mandarin orange. A candle works by vaporizing the wax/oil and drawing it up the wick where it burns. After cutting, removing the fruit of the clementine, the white part is exposed. You can make this candle with other citrus fruits but clementines are ideally better because they are much easier to peel.

You can also use these candles as decorations: You can beautify your house with these during Hallowe’en, the Christmas season or at any other time. If all else fails, you can also “cheat” by using tealights. Try making your own clementine candle at home and impress your friends with it! One last thing – please be VERY SAFE and diligently follow guidelines for candle safety. Okay, here is the video: Natural Holiday Room Scents Made In The Crockpot. So we are able to use it even in the winter.

(Dalarna is in th middle/north of Sweden. To me and Jenny it’s north but Sweden is a very tall country so I guess we are not even in the middle). Anyway it’s great cause I have the time and space to do lots of DIY projects. First we used a huge baloon that I bought at a party store. Then you collect all the old Dollys (?) Paint them with lots of wallpaper glue so they are soaked. Hang the ballon on a string and put the soaked lace on the baloon. Then wait for a while. Pop the baloon when the glue is dry. Update 1:Some of you asked how to get the bulb into the shade.

In today’s economy, money is a little tight all around.

And while many of us don’t have the funds for a major home improvement project, new research from Moen Canada indicates that many homeowners are taking up the task themselves. This DIY home improvement trend, dubbed “Remodel Lite,” involves refreshing rooms by taking up small projects one at a time. If you want to do some DIY magic in your home, why not do a little “lite” remodeling for energy efficiency? One of the easiest ways to shrink your energy bill and your footprint is to seal up drafty areas. To find out where drafts are coming in, close all your doors and windows on a windy day, and walk around the house with a lit stick of incense. When you see the smoke traveling towards a specific area of your home that means outside air is coming in. Once you’ve identified all your drafty nooks and crannies, it may be hard to know where to start. 1. Start by purchasing a door sweep to close the gap under exterior doors. 2. 3.

Pillowcase Tote Tutorial. Many of you requested a tutorial for my pillowcase grocery bags. They are super easy and quick to make, involving only straight line sewing. The straps actually take a bit more time than the bag itself, but still easy enough. Hopefully these instructions are easy to follow. Here is what you will need: –Cutting mat or nice large space to work on –scissors (rotary cutter optional) –Thrifted pillow case (any size), washed and ironed –Sewing machine, thread, pins and sewing needles(optional) –hot iron –About one hour of time and some good music. Turn pillowcase inside-out and fold in half long-ways.Cut a 3-4 inch strip off of one side.

Save the long strip for the straps.Open and lay flat. There are many ways to make straps, this is just how I do it. Cut off the big hemmed end off of the remaining strip. Now, my editor (Mr Creative Kismet, who really isn’t very creative as far as sewing is concerned, but did major in english lit) said “um, this sounds good and seems to make sense?”.
