Eventscore. Mary Driscoll. About the Founder Mary Driscoll, PhD, FAOTA , OTR, has combined her experience an occupational therapist with her passion for theatre to design a program that advances 21st century occupational and literacy skills. This successful program is for people who are transitioning from marginalization to productive participation in their communities. The genesis for OWLL began in 1999 when Mary began writing monologues with and for HIV positive women whose voices were under-represented in the pandemic. These stories were then woven into one social fabric and presented by the women themselves through an advocacy performance in their community.

The resounding success of the women's performance, and support from the Office of Minority Health, motivated her to continue the process and become the founder and president of the grassroots, non-profit organization On With Living and Learning, Inc. Dr.

Insurance Value, Wholesale Price, Retail Price For EXHIBITION CONTRACTS - Ask Harriete. Insurance Value, Wholesale Price, Retail Price for exhibitions are sometimes confused usually because of inexperience and good intentions, but with negative consequences and hard feelings if an insurance claim becomes necessary. This is why a recommendation will be made here. ALWAYS CLEARLY WRITE DOWN on the exhibition contract: the INSURANCE VALUE; and the WHOLESALE PRICE; and the RETAIL PRICE. I also write this on the Professional Guidelines Condition Report when I send my work to an exhibition. Defining each term on the contract by a dollar value avoids confusion. Here is an example:RETAIL PRICE: $ 3,000WHOLESALE PRICE: $ 1,500INSURANCE VALUE: $ 1,500 NEVER use the term "ARTIST PRICE" on a contract or in discussion. ALWAYS LIST THE RETAIL PRICE even if the exhibition sponsor does not have a space for it on the loan form. Keep this as clear and straight forward if you can.

Recently I was in an exhibition at an established museum. Avoid confusion. Harriete. Key-West Fine Art by Alan Kennish |Art Book | UBuildABook. EntryThingy - feature overview. In the past couple of years I was contacted on several occasions by many different symphony orchestra managers, publishers from big and small publishing houses and educational institutions with questions about Hartmann’s pictures related to the Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”.

Some wanted better quality copies of images for an overhead display accompanying concert performances of M. Ravel’s arrangement, some for the permission to publish pictures, others simply commenting on this project mostly disbelieving the relevance of this image to “Bydlo” from Mussorgsky’s suite. Well, from the very beginning of this project, almost four years ago, my aim was to try to spotlight bridging artistic endeavors of different mediums[1]. in this case the influence of Hartmann’s art on Mussorgsky’s music and perhaps exploring wider bridges between “Russian revival”[2] and “The Five”[3]. “Russian revival” and “The Five” Viktor Hartmann Hartmann House Cup by Viktor Hartmann Lampada by Viktor Hartmann. In 1874 Modest Mussorgsky composed his famous Pictures at an Exhibition, based on ten drawings and watercolors produced by his recently deceased friend, the architect and artist Victor Hartmann. Most of the works that inspired the composer are lost, either yet undiscovered or, sadly, destroyed by time and neglect. This gallery contains images of several of Hartmann's pictures, some of which inspired Mussorgsky's music, and some not. I have also included (or will include) the odd image, not drawn by Hartmann, that nevertheless seems to me to evoke a particular passage of the music.

As I have already described the music and general background of each movement in my review of Barry Douglas' performance of Pictures at an Exhibition, I will not reiterate my comments on this page, but will instead provide some of the background material that I have been able to ferret out concerning the pictures themselves. So, you’ve decided that you want to submit your artwork to a gallery. Fantastic! Although it can seem like a daunting task, creating a professional and complete submission to send to galleries is a huge step in getting your artwork “out there” and progressing your artistic career. Before you even begin gathering and preparing your materials for submission, you should make a decisive plan to streamline your effort and decide which galleries you want to submit to.

I have written a post to help you with just that– please read Which Gallery Should I Submit To? Once you have decided which galleries you want to submit to, take this most important step for each: ask the gallery what they require for submission. Some galleries prefer an all-electronic submission, while some insist on physical portfolios. Obviously, the most important component. If you are preparing a physical portfolio, I suggest reading “The Practically Perfect Portfolio“, an article by artist Brennen McElhaney. Follow-up Related. Nsbwa. Meet the ArtPrize Seven Jurors. This particular exhibition includes a fair representation of ceramics, collage, photography, drawing, fibers, glass, installation, mixed media, painting, printmaking and sculpture.
