I just felt that by 8 years old the students were really interested in everything, and it allowed me to go really deep into some of the concepts.

For my grade 3 quizzes and tests I decided to follow similar procedures to grades 1 and 2, giving them questions a week early for studying, playing games to help in advance, and reading the true/false questions. However, after that I allowed them to write the rest on their own, having them call upon me when unable to understand the question. If I found a single question to come up a couple times, I would then stop the class and clarify, but I found that the students did not need my help too often. I do have marking schemes for a couple of the tests, but often I would just end up using this rubric, as it was basic enough to work for all of them. In each of the units the student page and lesson plan numbers do not match up at the end.
