You can get ring blanks online in bulk at craft supply sites like etsy, artfire and artbeads. You just go and do a search for ring blanks and it will bring up several to choose from.

You want a decent sized circle on top of the ring so your embellishment can get a good stick. The ring blanks come in all sorts of colors.. gunmetal, silver plated, antiqued bronze, copper etc. Pick which one that will match your embellishments and it's that easy. I buy in bulk because I wanted to make several and am hoping to eventually sell them.

So once you have your ring blanks, just glue on your embellishments following the directions on your glue. The better part of this hub will be ideas for your rings. Creating a Sheet of Kato Polyclay™ Clear Medium Liquid. Tilt the tile to spread the liquid out in an even layer. This will be the base of your sheet so work the liquid until it is as large as you would like. Alternatively, you can use a large (1-inch) artist-quality paintbrush to spread the liquid clay on the tile. Add in bits and pieces of your inclusions.

Step 2 Pour a new layer of liquid on top of the previous layer. Kato Polyclay™ - The Skinner Blend Technique. Instructions by Arbel Shemesh, Advertising Coordinator, Fire Mountain Gems and Beads® Presented by Tammy Honaman, Author, Jewelry-Making Expert and Educator, Exclusively for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads® Named after Judith Skinner, the creator of this technique, the Skinner Blend technique has revolutionized the process of blending colors.

The first few times you practice this technique it is good to choose colors that mix well together: yellow and red will make orange in the middle; yellow and blue will make green in the middle; and any color mixed with white will make a gradient of the same color. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Create and maintain a square shape with the clay as you pass it through the rollers. Step 4 Step 5. Polymer Clay Mica-Shift Technique. By Tammy Honaman, Author, Jewelry-Making Expert and Educator, Exclusively for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads® Stamp, Lisa Pavelka Signature Series, silicone, grey, with romance textureStamp, Lisa Pavelka Signature Series, silicone, grey, with natural textureMold, poly-resinRoller, with metal handleClay craft ovenCeramic tile or other suitable work surface Step 1 Condition a sheet of mica-color clay.

Step 2 Fold and roll the clay through the Poly Roller on the thickest setting, working the clay in the same direction which will align the mica particles. Roll the clay through at least 20 times. Step 3 Place the polymer sheet onto your work surface; a ceramic tile is ideal for this technique. Step 4 Curve the Super slicer blade and pull it across the top surface of the clay, removing the tops of the textured area. Step 5 Using the acrylic roller, roll across the surface of the clay to smooth the clay out further. Use the mica-shift clay in a design of your choice. Using Waterslide Image Transfers. By Tammy Honaman, Author, Jewelry-Making Expert and Educator, Exclusively for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads® Step 1 Using a pair of scissors, cut out the waterslide image transfer you're planning to use for your project. Set it aside. Step 2 Condition and prepare your polymer clay for your design. Light-colored clay works best with the image transfer.

Tip: Working on a ceramic tile will make it easier to transport the uncured clay to the Clay Craft Oven for curing. Step 3 Temporarily place the waterslide image transfer, cut out in Step 1, onto the prepared polymer clay to test the fit. Step 4 Remove the transfer from the clay. Place the transfer, face up, onto the prepared piece of polymer clay. Step 5 Using an artist-quality paintbrush, apply a thin coat of Kato Polyclay clear medium liquid to the image transfer. Step 6 Place the tile into the Clay Craft Oven and bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for the manufacturer's recommended amount of time. Conditioning Polymer Clay.
