Bad Robot goes robotic with a story about world's first robot

The company responsible for TV series such as LOST and Fringe , as well as movies like Mission Impossible 3 and the new Star Trek reboot , will soon be able to pursue a story more in line with its namesake. Sources at THR are reporting that Bad Robot has acquired the rights to the graphic novel Boilerplate: History’s Mechanical Marvel. The novel tells the story of Boilerplate , purportedly the world's first robot who came about in the late 19th century and had grand adventures along the likes of great historical figures like Teddy Roosevelt before disappearing in a war (for those of you about to start searching Wikipedia for the true story of Boilerplate, let me put your fears to rest: your history teachers did not fail you, because no such robot exists). http://www.examiner.com/pop-media-in-dallas/bad-robot-goes-robotic-with-a-story-about-world-s-first-robot

You can find the pictures in the slideshow below, and you can find Fringe on FOX in Dallas at 8 PM. Fringe airs every Thursday on FOX at 9/8c.

The Man in Black Titus Welliver played a key role in the pilot of Touch , a role that was all wrapped up in the show’s numbers. And, according to an interview he gave several months ago, he will be coming back. The Touch pilot was LOST-like in several ways, with its mysteries, its eerie connections between characters, its explicit mention of fate and destiny and, especially, the way it ripped off (or paid homage to) the LOST numbers — not the exact numbers, of course, but the general idea of them. It’s even got a LOST alumnus — Titus Welliver (the Man in Black) in a crucial guest role (hat tip to Geri in the comments for recognizing Welliver).

http://www.examiner.com/pop-media-in-dallas/lost-mystery-8-what-does-the-island-want What does the Island want? Jacob and the Man in Black, pitted in some kind of eternal struggle. Light vs. dark, as represented by John Locke’s backgammon game early at the beginning of LOST ’s first season. What is this struggle, and where does it fit into the Island’s mythos? The writers of LOST have been pushing towards this struggle ever since the beginning, and at last we have gotten a good glimpse at the forces that are behind all that happens on the Island.
