Qu’est-ce que la Becta ? La Becta ou British Educational Communications and Technology Agency , du Department for Children, Schools and Families (Royaume-Uni) est l’organe stratégique principal du gouvernement britannique pour le développement des technologies de l’information et de la communication dans l’éducation (TICE). Cette agence fournit des orientations, du soutien ainsi que des conseils à la communauté éducative anglaise sur tous les aspects des domaines des TIC comme vecteurs d’enseignement et d’apprentissage. La Becta se concentre sur l’enrichissement des méthodes d’enseignement, la réduction des inégalités et des écarts dans les objectifs, ainsi que la dé finition des difficultés.

Nous avons tout récemment mis en ligne notre traduction du Rapport Becta dont nous espérons beaucoup comme cela a été dit dans le billet de présentation . Il ne s’agit nullement de faire une sorte de guerre à Microsoft aussi puérile que contre-productive. Il s’agit de faire en sorte que, comme en Grande-Bretagne, l’école française se pose de bonnes questions. Mon établissement scolaire a-t-il réellement besoin de migrer vers Vista ? vers MS Office 2007 ? Les coûts d’une telle opération seront-ils compensés par la qualité de ces nouveaux produits ?
