London's Closet. Shirt: Amy's Mum's, Riding Pants: American Apparel, Satchel: Primark, Shoes: Dr Martens, Lips: Cherrybomb by LOOK. (Shope) Wore this when I was interning at Essex Fashion Week - the dress code was black and white as an intern so I couldn't go crazy with my outfit, but we were giving logo tee's to put on anyway. It was tans, eyelashes galore and every TOWIB and Desperate Scousewives attended (had to keep fangirl behaviour to a minimum obviously), it was fab. We were helping out backstage, and it was absolutely manic - I was a dresser and there was literally 30 seconds for the models to get changed into the next look - I loved it though :) I was fortunate enough to dress for Amy Child's Collection, some of the dresses were so gorgeous and Amy was so so lovely! Such a great experience, I'd love to go back and do it all over! Big thanks to Charlotte for the opportunity, and the twins, Adam and Simon for hosting it all!
Une maison de la mode. Happy Sunday everybody! My Sunday consisted of eating some chicken, vegetables (despite my general dislike of them, unhealthy I know), feeding my dog chicken, taking some lookbook photos and (will) consist of some homework hopefully. Sounds fascinating ahaha. The lovely people at olive clothing sent me these two items a few weeks back, and I haven't got round to wearing them until now! The shirt is such a simple piece, and although you can't see it in the photos here, there is some scallop hem detailing which is cute haha, the skirt is also amazing quality, and a lovely bright pattern too. Hope you like my outfit, and sorry about the strange garden photos, I just took them after the outfit photos! Xx. Style2bones. Now that I'm in my final month in writing my dissertation (!) I'm happy to be blessed with a computer full of ready edited photos. So rewind more or less exactly a moth back. While the boys with their fancy huge flashes were competing for the money shot, I preferred taking a step back, capturing the seconds between those important photos. I found a few unposted photos from fashion week and though a few words about that neon yellow nail polish might be in order again. I've talked about it before and it's been popping up on blogs since it came out last summer. It is still a favorite of mine and the subject of question that seems to frequently come up in emails and tweets.
The polish is from the neon range at American apparel and still the best yellow my nails have ever experienced. xxx. W45T3L4ND. DIY. Evening one and all, and welcome to my bumper Valentines post! Sincerely, Kinsey. Summer has taken full swing, making it the perfect time to whip up some summer shorts projects. We went on a bit of a shopping expedition over the weekend, and I must say there are some really cute trends for the upcoming season. But like most of us, my wallet isn't begging to be emptied, so I came up with a few ways to give a couple pairs of shorts your dresser drawer might already own, a new look.
Take a peek... Supplies: Shorts (mine are from a second hand store for $5 each!) , doilies or trim, thick fabric. Pantry Supplies: needle and thread, embroidery thread, sewing pins, scissors, iron. For the doily shorts, begin by ironing down a small fold on the hem of the shorts. For the fabric pocket shorts, simply take a piece of fabric (I used a thrifted place mat!) And if you can make these with your eyes closed and arms tied . . . umm, can we still be friends? You’ll need:embroidery threada safety pin or tapea pair of scissors Start by cutting several strands of embroidery thread at about 24 inches each. Start on the left side with the outermost color (shown here in red) and make a forward knot by creating a 4-shape over the 2nd color, loop it under and back through the opening.
Pull up and to the right to tighten. Now pick up the outermost color on the right side (show here in red) and make a backward knot, creating a reverse 4-shape over the 2nd color, loop it under and back through the opening.
