Palo Alto SAP Community Marketing Expert, Strategic Lead Job - CA, 94301. About SCN: On My Radar. Being in the trenches of the SCN Go-Live at SAP IT, there is just so much I could share with you. Perhaps I should re-phrase that: there is so much we HAVE to share with you, in order to make this site better and learn something in that process. Unlike Oliver Kohl, however, I may not have the capacity to both work on the actual issues and also be all "meta" about them at the same time, so I'll have to delay writing about a lot of the interesting parts for a bit later on.

Instead, I want to start giving you my assessment of where we are right now, and what is coming up in the next few days. There is one point in which I do commit to being like Oliver: being honest-to-god open about what we're doing and what others think. So, where we at right now? Oliver covered a lot of ground in his entry, so here's just the week in review.

In parallel to that, there are a number of functional issues where I think we could & should really improve. 1. 2. About SCN: Anatomy of a Go-Live. I was originally planning to write my first blog post on the new SCN about its platform architecture, integration aspects of the landscape, our migration approach and the delivery model. But with the events of the last days I came to the conclusion it would be better to give you some background information on what happened in the last five days. Sunday The production system has been live now since middle of December and a small group of beta testers (~1000 SAP Mentors, Moderatos and SAP employees) had been invited to get a first insight and provide feedback. During that time the focus was mostly on the overall performance of the system and getting bugs Twice a week we where doing deployment to the platform and ran delta migration of the latest blog and forum posts published on the old platform.

The idea was to have lots of regular small go-lives every week in order to test the process and avoid any surprises for the actual go-live weekend. Monday And it got interesting. Tuesday Wednesday. I'm joining SAP AG. A personal note. I’ve accepted the role at SAP for Global Vice President, Enterprise Collaboration and Social Software Solutions. In the fall of 2011 I began to chart the next chapter of my career. I’ve had an amazing run over the last 10 years. Since 2002, well before the dawn of social networking, I’ve had the chance to lead teams that managed large scale transformation initiatives for some of the most well known organizations to blend process, intelligence and collaborative approaches and technology, to accelerate performance.

As we saw the entry of new social and collaborative technologies in 2006 and the advent of the social customer, an opportunity arose to help articulate why connected enterprises matter, why it’s finally within reach and how to get the Business part right in Social Business. Along with my colleague, the super smart Oliver Marks, I got to help organizations execute on their business objectives under the Sovos brand. Why SAP Thank You On to the next chapter.

At the beginning of 2011, I conducted sessions with new colleagues joining our SAP office in Vancouver that introduced them to SCN and how they can create an online brand for themselves. I soon realized that the exercise of creating an online brand was a bit superficial, and that creating a presence alone didn’t give individuals (or organizations) and those in their networks enough value. My opinion is that beyond building an online brand for ourselves, we are really seeking to build our online reputation, because we can derive more value from this. Distinguishing between online brand and online reputation is important here. Thanks to those who participated in my Networking Lounge Session at SAP TechEd Madrid in November, I am concluding that our online brand is what others recognize us for, whereas our online reputation is how others will judge us by.

The following points are our humble recommendations: Feel free to re-order and add your own practices as well. “I hear and I forget. What You Should Do When You First Visit the New SCN. Guias Published on April 5th, 2011 | by Mauricio Cruz Obs.: Esse comando é obsoleto heim!

FROM sy-ucomm IMPORTING tcode TO l_tcode. * Nenhum dado enviado ou retornado no comando é relevante. Mas o tempos mudaram, e inventaram o CALL FUNCTION e o CALL TRANSACTION, e logo, o homo abapiens desencanou dos dialogs e seguiu sua jornada. In celebratory mood! Network Blog: I'm outta here !! I've just come away from doing my last bit of mentoring another person in the SAP community before hanging up my shirt at SAPPHIRE/TechEd Madrid. It involved reading through something they want to say and providing feedback. It's something I thoroughly enjoy as I almost always learn something fresh along the way. I've said it before but it's worth repeating. When Mark Finnern called me up to become a Mentor I thought he was mad. I am one of SAP's most vocal critics and bringing me into that group was not going to make one iota of difference to my position. It was a bold and dangerous move. In the last year or so I've seen more of 'my kind' come on board and that's terrific. I wrote my first post on SCN back in October 2007. In the four years I have been part of the Mentor community I've learned an enormous amount.

What saddens me is that despite I meet so many of these people, there must be thousands more outside the Mentor community I don't get to meet. So what do I leave behind? Since the pPublic availability of Code Exchange for SAP TechEd 2010 there have been two main issues creating a lot of discussion. Both of them are related to the Code Exchange Terms of Use. The first discussion point are the Terms of Use (TOU) itself. We discussed these very openly prior the go-live at TechEd Berlin with the SAP Mentors and after the go-live with the SDN community like e.g. during the SAP Inside Track 2010 in Summary of Code Exchange Terms of Use presentation @ SAP Inside Track 2010 Brussels and Code Exchange at SAP Inside Track 2010 Eindhoven.

The other point was the process of accepting the TOU where the users have to manually sign the document and send it to SAP by fax or email. We'll now make modifications in both points that will go live by December 6th. Firstly the TOU text was modified. As mentioned above these changes will all become live at December 6th. We hope these changes will make it easier for the SCN community to join and use the Code Exchange platform. Runs SAP Blog.

Online-Marktplatz SAP EcoHub. Community Network Blogs. Those of you who listened to the keynote from Vishal Sikka during SAP TechEd 2010 in Las Vegas already know that we wanted to get rid of the current process for joining Code Exchange. In that process you need to actually print out the TOU document, sign the paper and send it to SAP by fax or scan it and send it by email to SAP. Finally we were able to remove the last hurdles to make this obsolete. Within the next weeks (most probably December this year) we'll move over to a click-through process where the SCN users just need to click the "accept" button to get access to the Code Exchange platform.

No more paper work. I'll post another blog on SCN once it's available, but wanted to give you a heads-up on what will be available soon. Looking forward to see some of you at the SAP Inside Track in Netherlands at Nov. 20th where I'll provide some more details around Code Exchange and it's status. Best,Rui. Community Network Blogs. You are totally new to the Code Exchange platform and would like to know what it is about? You already know Code Exchange, but would like to have one document summarizing all the different questions and tutorials?

That's the purpose of this blog. I have structured the content in 3 levels and added additional information at the end. Whenever I have additional material for one of the three levels I'll add them to this blog so that you can use this blog as kind of a compendium for Code Exchange. Level 1 (Basics) What is Code Exchange? The article Code Exchange in a nutshell gives you a good explanation about what Code Exchange is and how it was build.

How can I participate in Code Exchange? The blog How to join the Code Exchange area on SCN decribes how you can join the platform and how you can start your own projects.
