Apple to Stream Live Video of 'iPad Mini' Media Event to Apple TV. Several MacRumors readers have noted that Apple has added a new "Apple Events" icon to the Apple TV, with the company revealing that it will be streaming today's media event live.
It is unclear if the video stream will be available through other means such as on apple.com, but Apple will presumably be updating its site with more details if the stream will be available through multiple channels. The new channel also offers users the ability to watch several previous Apple events dating back to June 2011. Apple has offered live video streams of its events several times in the past, but has not done so in several years until today. The most recent event for which Apple provided a live video stream prior to today was its "Back to the Mac" event in October 2010. Art of Running – A Tribute to Steve: 21KM Apple Logo « Joseph Tame. It was only 5 years ago that I bought my first Apple product – a 5th Generation iPod Classic.
Following that was a white Macbook in 2007: inspired by Leo Laporte’s TWIT network I decided to give podcasting a try, and looking at available options it seemed that Garageband was the way to go. I enjoyed using that MacBook so much that when the iPhone came out in the UK and Japan I was desperate to get my hands on one, and within three hours of landing back in Japan in late 2008 I was in the Softbank Store, signing up for a 2 year contract. Well that was it. I was hooked. Since then I’ve upgraded every year, paying hefty cancellation fees on old contracts in order to have the latest and greatest. Having an iPhone really has changed my life here in Tokyo. Oh, it also means I can broadcast marathons, and paint pretty pictures on the roads with GPS. All stats and interactive map on Runkeeper. Binary Access. Steampunk Remake: Dave Veloz's Keyboard and Monitor. There is nothing in the world that I like better then receiving pictures of things that people have been inspired to build by my projects.
When I opened my mail and discovered these photos I squeed like teen on LJ! In interviews I've often described Steampunk as the intersection of technology and romance - well here is the story to prove it! Dave Veloz created this beauty for his soon to be wife in time for their recent wedding! He's done an absolutely beautiful job, outdoing me in several respects, the first being the use of actual granite for the monitor's base! The keyboard is nearly identical to mine, the major difference being the use of leather rather then black felt and his treatment of the Mac mini its connected to is brilliant in its simplicity and execution.
The choice of colors makes Dave's monitor even more Victorian then mine, which I've always though of as closer to the L'Empire style. The details are fabulous! In a very appropriate setting I might add!
