Enjoy! When creating a product or feature, you undergo a product development process. For example, you might start by interviewing some existing customers or by running focus groups. You might create business and functional requirements that describe what you need.

Then, when you’re ready, you begin designing and developing and iterating on the product. Or perhaps you prefer to define products by first building a prototype, bypassing formal requirements. You might not know who Dash Shaw is. Don’t worry, you will. Dash’s current indie book, Love Eats Brains, is an epic zombie romance and has captured much critical acclaim. His upcoming book, Goddess Head, will surely do the same. Dash spoke to Comic Foundry and proved that even though you’re in the small press, it doesn’t mean you can’t do big work. Can you take us through your process in creating your comic? There’s a moment when I’m filled with the desire to make a comic. And then I have to hold onto that for as long as I can.
