FC Seoul has hired Japanese midfielder Shigehiro Takuya on loan. The registered name is "Shigehiro" and his number is 55.
Shigehiro, who newly joined FC Seoul, is a technician who can serve as the team's breadwinner based on his overwhelming amount of activity, and is a resource who can play both offensive and defensive midfielders. Shigehiro, born in 1995, made his professional debut with Kyoto Sanga FC in the J-League in 2018 and moved to Abispa Fukuoka in 2020. Since then, he moved to Nagoya Grampus in July 2022, and has played more than 100 games in the J-League alone.
Shigehiro's advantage is his reckless play that does not protect himself and clever play that reads the path of the opponent's pass in advance. In particular, he has received high marks for his aggressive role, such as stabbing a sharp penetration pass or dragging the ball directly into the attack after intercepting the opponent's ball in defense.
With the recruitment of Shigehiro, FC Seoul will be able to play more aggressive and dynamic soccer this season by establishing a more structured midfielder line. Above all, Shigehiro is a resource that can be used not only in the second but also in the third, so it will be possible to complete FC Seoul's midfield, which has become stronger through organic play with existing midfielders such as Ki Sung-yueng, Palosevic and Ryu Jae-moon.
