Need to breathe | COSMOS magazine

In the 1970s, a tall, gangly science student arrived in Java with a tough assignment from a German aid program: figure out how many trawlers the Java Sea could support. On an experimental trawler, he crisscrossed the area, putting down a heavy net in a representative grid. With each haul, the trawler dragged in between 100 and 200 species of fish of various sizes and ages. http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/features/print/3978/need-breathe?sms_ss=reddit&at_xt=4d4738af173a5dd6%2C0

Chronic myelogenous leukemia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_myelogenous_leukemia Chronic myelogenous (or myeloid) leukemia ( CML ), also known as chronic granulocytic leukemia (CGL) , is a cancer of the white blood cells . It is a form of leukemia characterized by the increased and unregulated growth of predominantly myeloid cells in the bone marrow and the accumulation of these cells in the blood. CML is a clonal bone marrow stem cell disorder in which proliferation of mature granulocytes ( neutrophils , eosinophils , and basophils ) and their precursors is the main finding.

Do you think a cure for cancer will ever be found?

Sorry to hear that. Cancer is hundreds of diseases though, not just one. The difficulty is that different cancers are caused by different things, so no one strategy can prevent them, and different cancers respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them all.
There is a long-standing belief among many conspiracy theorists that there will never be a cure for cancer. Why is it that they believe this? Cancer has been one of the leading killers in the United States for many years.

Fish oil is oil derived from the tissues of oily fish . Fish oils contain the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), precursors of certain eicosanoids that are known to reduce inflammation throughout the body, [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] and are thought to have many health benefits. Fish do not actually produce omega-3 fatty acids, but instead accumulate them by consuming either microalgae or prey fish that have accumulated omega-3 fatty acids , together with a high quantity of antioxidants as iodide and selenium , from microalgae, where these antioxidants are able to protect the fragile polyunsaturated lipids from peroxidation [ 4 ] . [ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ] Fatty predatory fish like sharks , sword fish , tilefish , and albacore tuna may be high in omega-3 fatty acids, but due to their position at the top of the food chain , these species can also accumulate toxic substances (see biomagnification ).

Coenzyme A ( CoA , CoASH , or HSCoA ) is a coenzyme , notable for its role in the synthesis and oxidation of fatty acids , and the oxidation of pyruvate in the citric acid cycle . All sequenced genomes encode enzymes that use coenzyme A as a substrate, and around 4% of cellular enzymes use it (or a thioester, such as acetyl-CoA ) as a substrate. [ 1 ] It is adapted from cysteamine , pantothenate , and adenosine triphosphate . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coenzyme_A

THINGS REPUBLICANS HATE | The Complete Guide to Conservative Hatred.

By despising taxes, Republicans are following in the footsteps of great Americans. The founders rebelled against unwarranted taxation by the British and (with God’s help) created America. Like the British, Democrats have made many attempts to delve further into hard-working American’s pocketbooks since the liberal takeover.
