It is celebrated in late January to early February (depending on the year). One group found the numbers in English first. Next we found the Roman numerals. Some groups put the cards in piles, others spread them all over the desk. The most successful worked systematically to set the matching scripts in neat columns and matching numbers in neat rows, which helped them to see the patterns more clearly. In most languages 2 was the easiest number to find first as it usually had just one, or the fewest digits (except in Roman numerals).
