Teacher Evaluations. Ohio's new system for evaluating teachers (Ohio's Teacher Evaluation System - OTES) will provide educators with a richer and more detailed view of their performance, with a focus on specific strengths and opportunities for improvement. State Board of Education Approved Teacher Framework Each teacher will be evaluated according to Ohio Revised Code and the Evaluation Framework which is aligned with the Standards for the Teaching Profession adopted under state law.
Evaluation Components Evaluations have two components, each weighted at 50 percent: Teacher performance rating, determined from: A professional growth plan Two 30 minute observations Walkthroughs Learn more about teacher performance ratings.
