Historian: The Koran Is NOT More Violent Than The Bible. Christians Have 'Holy Amnesia' Image Via YouTube Since the Paris attacks, all we’ve heard from the chattering class on the far right is that Islam is a religion of violence which mandates jihad, or holy war.

After the square came sex. Raising Muslim kids in a climate of hate and fear: This is how our family has fought Islamophobia since 9/11. On 9/11, I wanted to stick my head in the sand and disappear, but my 3-year-old son needed to be picked up at preschool and the school insisted parents show up, tardiness and terrorist incidents notwithstanding.
I put my hijab on, bundled up my 1-year-old toddler and stood with the other parents outside the brown brick building on that chilly afternoon. New study exposes shocking rulings of UK Sharia courts. A book entitled Women And Sharia Law: The Impact Of Legal Pluralism In The UK written by Muslim academic Elham Malea, inset above, claims Sharia courts in the UK condone rape, wife-beating and the forced marriage of young girls.
According to this report, it also says some Islamic clerics support chopping off the hands of criminals while others are in favour of a father having the power to annul his daughter’s marriage if he does not approve of her partner. The book was written following a four-year investigation into around 80 Islamic councils across London and the Midlands, in which disputes within Muslim communities are settled. Manea, a Zurich University-based professor and expert on human rights, described the power held in these courts as “totalitarian” and said they were more extreme than in some parts of Pakistan.
She gave an example of a British woman who was forced to marry her cousin in Pakistan, where she was raped on her wedding night. Muslim cleric enraged over law to protect Pakistani women. Pakistani cleric Fazl-Fazlur Rehman, above, is not a happy Islamist.
Why? Because he fears that a new law passed to protect women from violence will weaken men’s authority over females. The chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, who once blamed women who wear jeans for earthquakes and inflation in Pakistan, was reacting to news that, last Thursday, the Punjab provincial legislature passed the Protection of Women against Violence Bill 2015. The legislation, according to this report, aims both to end violence against women and empower them. It is popularly referred to as the pro-women law. Rehman condemned the law saying: Husband and wife are considered partners in the West, but it is not the case in Pakistan. Enter Mufti Muhammad Naeem, chief of Jamia Binoria International, above.
It is a tragedy. While there are several laws in Pakistan protecting women, few have been effective. It requires that family courts act upon complaints within seven days and facilitate results within three months. More On The Madness Of Muslims– Pakistan, Land Of The Pedophiles. Because there are fewer crimes more disgusting than this: Pakistani clerics block ‘un-Islamic’ child marriage billPakistani lawmakers have withdrawn a proposal to impose harsher penalties on those who arrange child marriages after it was scuttled by a religious body who branded it “blasphemous” and against Islam, sources told AFP Friday.
The proposal, which would also have raised the legal age of marriages for females from 16 to 18, called for “rigorous” punishment up to two years in prison for those who organize child marriages, still common in some parts of Pakistan. Marvi Memon, a member of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), had moved to amend existing child marriage legislation in the lower house but was forced to withdraw her bid after it was rejected by a parliamentary committee on religious affairs, a source familiar with the development told AFP. Islam takes slavery for granted. A few days ago Deutsche Welle started a story on women in Islam by introducing us to one generator of fatwas in Saudi Arabia: Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid [above] is not really that old.
Nevertheless, despite being born to Palestinian refugees living in Syria in 1960, and having lived in Saudi Arabia since he was a child, the opinions issued by this religious scholar read like documents from a time long, long ago.He publishes his opinions on ‘IslamQA.info’, the most popular Salafist website in the Arab speaking world. There, for instance, a young man asks him for the answer to a seemingly difficult question: What is the status of the many ‘slaves’ that live in his home of Saudi Arabia?
