Debate over guns and abortion marked week eight of the 2013 legislative session. Bills on both topics passed out of a House committee and will now be heard by the full chamber. KPR’s Stephen Koranda spoke with Jim McLean, of the KHI News Service, about last week's activity in the Kansas Statehouse. As Stephen tells us in this week’s In Session, the abortion bill is wide ranging. One part is aimed at eliminating any state subsidies for abortion. List of counties in Kansas. No Kansas county has two words in its name. Wyandotte County and the city of Kansas City operate as a unified government.
