Humility is a key virtue if you are an expert. I have been doing IT stuff for over 20 years, technology has changed, people have come and gone. You will meet them again and again! When I master something really well and I see work other people have done that I know is not right, it is easy to become boastful and arrogant. When you meditate on how many years technology has changed and I am just a small piece of dust in the whole picture I should feel more humility than I do.
I should understand everyone is doing everything they can do, with all the limitations I have, and you with yours. 20 years ago I could do many things and the power that brings is something else today. Humility is not easy in this business, where: all it takes is to have some certificates and many years of experience.
