Canadian Surfing Association 9 Fortress Dr. Ferguson’s Cove, Nova Scotia B3V 1G3 The Thanksgiving Surf Classic was a tremendous success, held at Lawrencetown Beach on Sunday October 13th in 4 to 6 foot beach break with over 40 athletes competing for the title. The remains of hurricane Kyle, which was one of the longest named storms in history, generated the contestable swell with warm water and sunshine that held the entire day. With the help of media coverage from Breakfast Television, Global News, ATV News, Q104 Radio, the Chronicle Herald Newspaper, and our own signage, the contest was a tremendous success. Drawing an estimated 350 spectators at the peck of the day.
The boardwalk to the beach was lined with all our sponsors' banners along with the registration tent, which displayed all the donated prices.
