Facebook Twitter

Google+'s secret weapon against Twitter and Facebook. The proliferation of platforms such as Facebook and Twitter come mostly from success stories, and cross-over events with mainstream media. Once CNN started using tweets during live broadcasts, the platform was cemented in our minds as a destination to discover topical trends and real-time conversation. Once Facebook became a strong piece of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, we knew that the social network bohemeth wasn’t going anywhere. Google+ came along, a little bit late to the game.

A lot late, actually. Google’s service has a thing or two up its sleeve, though. One of those secret weapons is Daria Musk. A musician small in stature, with a powerful voice and a brilliant ability to make a guitar seemingly sing backup to that powerful voice of hers. How can one person be a secret weapon that could move the masses to take a second or third look at Google+? The tools Daria Musk has amassed over 24,000 followers on Google+, using those tools. Here’s how she did it: Google Hangouts. Artwork by Banksy. “Banksy is an pseudonymous England based graffiti artist, political activist, film director and painter. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine irreverent dark humour with graffiti done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world. Banksy's work was born out of the Bristol underground scene which involved collaborations between artists and musicians.

According to author and graphic designer Tristan Manco, Banksy “was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England. Seven on Seven Guests Respond. Emily Roysdon, POSITIONS at Art in General Seven on Seven participants answer the question: Do you think artists and technologists create things the same way?

Andy Baio Creative processes vary so wildly, I'd feel like a jerk trying to generalize. I can only speak for myself as someone who loves to flirt with both art and tech, and what I've gleaned from the people I'm lucky enough to know in both fields. So just mentally prefix everything I'm about to say with a giant, blinking sign that says, "USUALLY. " The biggest difference I've seen is that it seems like most artists start with an emotion they're trying to evoke and that most geeks start with a problem they're trying to solve. But the act of creation for both is similar: artists and technologists have a deep understanding of the capabilities and constraints of their medium -- whether oils on canvas or Ruby on Rails. I've always pushed the edges of what's possible. In regards to art. Labs.
