The Manhattan DA's Office will ask a judge to dismiss all charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn when he appears in court Tuesday, The Post has learned. Prosecutors are poised to file what's called a Dismissal On Recommendation motion, which will say the indictment against the frisky Frenchman cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt because of credibility problems with the sole witness in the case, Strauss-Kahn's hotel-maid accuser. The expected move was slammed Sunday by a lawyer representing Strauss-Kahn's alleged victim, who questioned prosecutors' motives and called the dismissal request "incomprehensible." Paul Martinka HE'LL SKATE: The Manhattan DA has decided to seek a dismissal of all sex-assault charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn due to a lack of credibility of his accuser, hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo.

Report: DSK lawyers may claim maid wanted to be paid for sex - NYPOST.com

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/dsk_eyes_ex_claim_mag_says_RxWGGhYaCKiAqROJhGXmxL Dominique Strauss-Kahn's lawyers may argue the hotel maid accusing him of sexual assault was just miffed the frisky Frenchman didn't pay her for oral sex, according to a published report. Should either the crumbling criminal case or the recently filed civil one proceed, DSK and his attorneys will attempt to discredit Sofitel housekeeper Nafissatou Diallo by arguing that she's motivated only by money, Newsweek reported yesterday. Manhattan prosecutors are expected to decide next week whether to proceed with the criminal charges against the former IMF chief, but all the private detective work done by his team will likely be used in Civil Court. Private investigators from the firm Guidepost Solutions have been trying to dig up proof that the African immigrant was willing to do anything it took to support herself.

Bronx court good as gold for DSK accuser - NYPOST.com

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/bronx/dsk_maid_suing_in_be_boro_zbedPkmCJT7y0vD8UiaFFN Bronx court may prove good as gold for DSK's accuser. Hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo immediately improved her chances of winning a multimillion-dollar suit against the French horndog simply by choosing to go after him in Bronx Civil Court -- where jurors are the most likely to side with plaintiffs than in any other jurisdiction, particularly if they're poor minorities such as herself, legal experts say. "The Bronx civil jury is the greatest tool of wealth redistribution since the Red Army," said civil-rights lawyer Ron Kuby. "As a purported socialist, DSK shouldn't mind the venue," Kuby quipped. "[But] of course, it's his money that's being redistributed, which might make a difference."
Air France ordered that only all-male cabin crews serve then-IMF boss and infamous lech Dominque Strauss-Kahn, according to a published report. "Air France has a few hundred complaints from clients, employees, crew members who met the man suspected of having abused your client Madame [Nafissatou] Diallo," reads a letter reportedly sent to lawyers for the Manhattan hotel chambermaid accusing Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault. Will accuser's PR blitz give her a leg up? - NYPOST.com

The case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn is now in the court of public opinion ("Glammed-Up DSK Accuser Suggests Case Is About Race," Andrea Peyser, July 29). While Nafissatou Diallo's lawyer pushes for a big paycheck, DA Cy Vance's office must be diligent in its efforts to assure justice is served. Most of The Post's first release of photos of Diallo (July 25) were obviously taken 15 to 20 years ago, showing her in her youth and not as she looks today. Diallo is on a media blitz against the man she has accused of sexually assaulting and attempting to rape her out of fear that the prosecution is on the verge of dropping her case. It is the classic case of the weak (Diallo is an illiterate hotel maid and an immigrant from Guinea) versus the powerful (DSK is the former chief of the International Monetary Fund and was a potential French presidential candidate).

Dominique Strauss-Kahn's hotel-maid accuser yesterday stepped out of the shadows to finally give her side of the story -- and to try to push Manhattan authorities to prosecute one of France's most powerful politicians. "I was so alone. I was so scared," a teary Nafissatou Diallo insisted to ABC-TV's Robin Roberts in a dramatic, harrowing account of the alleged sex attack she says she suffered at the hands of the former IMF chief. "I want justice.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly blames news media for perp walk controversy - NYPOST.com

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly weighed in on the "perp walk" controversy yesterday, blaming the news media for the outrage over the way former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was paraded past photographers after his arrest. "We have been walking prisoners out of the front doors of station houses for 150 years in this Police Department," Kelly told reporters. "This is how we transport people to court. "There is no back door, no secret way of doing it," he said at Brooklyn College, where he attended a Police Academy graduation. "So the issue of the so-called perp walk is strictly an issue for the media." http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/kelly_blames_media_for_perp_walk_mWUPhfuOBZkwnI9N36OrHJ
And the paper quoted a source saying, "There is information . . . of her getting extraordinary tips, if you know what I mean. And it's not for bringing extra f--king towels."

The DSK Maid Is Suing The NYPost For Saying She's A Prostitute

She was turning tricks on the taxpayers' dime! The Sofitel maid who accused Dominique Strauss-Kahn of a sex attack in his suite wasn't just a hotel hooker -- she continued to work as a prostitute in a Brooklyn hotel where she was stashed by prosecutors, The Post has learned. The so-called victim, whose web of lies has crippled the Manhattan DA's case against the former International Monetary Fund boss, played host to a parade of paying male visitors in the weeks after Strauss-Kahn's arrest, a prosecution source said. "While she was under our supervision, there were multiple 'dates' and encounters at the hotel on the DA's dime," the source said of her paid hotel room. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/she_laid_low_as_da_paid_for_digs_8Udq6nhQaHaC4KOOfkctpI

Dominique Strauss-Kahn's DNA found on hotel maid's clothes: report - NYPOST.com

Looks like his reputation may be stained for good. Traces of sperm from disgraced former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn were found on the clothes worn by the maid who claims she was sexually assaulted inside a Manhattan hotel room, according to a new report. The French website Atlantico.fr reported today that Strauss-Kahn's DNA was found on the woman's dress, saying the NYPD notified French authorities of the development on Sunday. Former International Monetary Fund Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn arrives for a news conference in April. A grand jury indicted Strauss-Kahn, 62, last week on seven counts, which carry up to 25 years behind bars, including charges of criminal sexual assault, attempted rape and sexual abuse.

Innocent until perp walked - NYPOST.com

Maureen Callahan All that international conspiracy stuff about the arrest of Dominique Strauss-Kahn aside, the French do have a point: What is the American obsession with the perp walk? “There’s no question that the perp walk is nothing other than pure retribution against someone who has not yet been convicted of a crime,” says Mark Bederow, former prosecutor at the Manhattan DA’s office.
Jailed sex crime suspect Dominique Strauss-Kahn resigned last night as head of the IMF, saying he needed "all my strength, all my time, and all my energy to proving my innocence." But the international moneyman sounded more like a homesick tourist than an accused perv in handing in his resignation to the powerful global agency. "I think at this time first of my wife -- whom I love more than anything -- of my children, of my family, of my friends," he wrote the IMF board. "I think also of my colleagues at the [International Monetary] Fund; together we have accomplished such great things over the last three years and more.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn steps down as head of IMF to focus energy on 'proving his innocence' - NYPOST.com

The arrest of Dominique Strauss-Kahn left his country's media in a French twist yesterday. While French politicians demanded "prudence" until all the facts emerge, the scandal involving the International Monetary Fund chief dominated front pages and television news as pundits predicted it could destroy the Socialist Party's chances at capturing the presidency next year. An editorial in the Paris daily Libération titled "A Huge Waste" noted that if Strauss-Kahn is found guilty, his exit from the race would "[throw] dynamite on the entire campaign." Le Figaro, one of the nation's largest dailies, used a photo essay to seemingly draw parallels between Strauss-Kahn and the sexual escapades of Italy's prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, and former US President Bill Clinton. The newspaper, which devoted nine stories on its Web page to the scandal, asked its readers to vote online on whether they thought Strauss-Kahn's political career is over.
