Objective The internship program provides university students majoring in the human services or criminal justice fields with an opportunity to apply their educational knowledge to a practical experience in the criminal justice system. Overview The Adult Division provides supervision for offenders (ages 18 and up) placed on Probation by the Courts, as well as performs a number of other court-related functions. For more than 40 years, the Supreme Court Internship Program has provided students with a unique opportunity to build a substantial working knowledge of the role, functions, and history of the Supreme Court of the United States.

The Program offers a compelling study experience and valuable exposure to work in a professional environment. Special enrichment opportunities include attending Court sessions as well as seminars organized by the Supreme Court Fellows. Interns have responsibilities wholly distinct from the case work of the Supreme Court and do not work directly with the Justices or on cases pending before the Court.
