Star Signs: DIY Note Cards. Star signs are on the brain, I can’t help it with our new June e-catalog! For today’s DIY I was inspired by the constellations for each zodiac sign, and the adorable star sign pillows we have online. These little zodiac note cards are so much fun to make – I’d love to have a whole bunch for my sign, Scorpio.
It’s also a great way to personalize the note cards you send depending on the sign of the person you’re sending it to! The inspiration: our Star Sign Pillows What you need: paper*, scissors, a fine point black sharpie, needle and thread. *to give it an added special touch, I used paper that had been lightly coated with watercolors Using the pillow as a guide, I marked little black X’s for each star in the constellation. Next, take your needle and thread and stitch the lines of the constellation. Once you’re finished stitching, you can go back and add some more stars. Now go explore your star sign some more with our weekly horoscopes and June e-catalog!

How To Make A Mixtape – DIY Mixtape Case. I miss the days of mixtapes. My first car was stocked with cassettes, mixes I made and mixes from friends and past boyfriends. I used to spend hours trying to make the perfect mix – choosing just the right songs, putting them in just the right order so that they flowed perfectly from one to the next, and crafting personalized artwork for the case. I still have the tapes, but my current car doesn’t have a cassette player. The art of making mixes can still be applied to CDs though, and I like to get creative with it to bring back some of the fun of making mixtapes.
I tend to buy the packs of blank CDs that come in a big stack without cases, and it can be really fun making CD cases out of thick paper and personalizing them for whoever you make them for. Here’s how! Picking the songs for the mix is always the best part. Lay the CD on the paper, making sure you have plenty of room on each side. Here are the measurements that work perfectly to make a CD case. Do you like to make mixes? String Tie Envelope Pattern and Tutorial. (Tutorial) Alternative Printing Process for your Photographs: Use Mulberry Paperby Brittni | 26 comments I miss the days of having a film camera and being able to hold the photographs in my hand rather than clicking through hundreds on my computer. This technique allows me to pick out my favourite digital images and print them in a special and unusual way. The delicate and soft texture of the paper appear so much more beautiful to me than printing images on to regular glossy photo paper. Another great thing about this technique is that anybody can do it! Supplies You Will Need: 1. Inkjet Printer 2. Step by Step Instructions: 1. Last week during my regular Barnes and Noble trip I sipped on my favorite frappuccino, pulled up a chair, and skimmed through the scrapbook magazines. In the meantime I made some yellow paper flowers to add a bit of color around the house. To make the paper flowers into a center piece I glued them onto a skewer.
