Nonprofit Tech 2.0 Blog :: A Social Media Guide for Nonprofits
The following is an excerpt from Chapter 6 of the recently released book Social Media for Social Good: A How-To Guide for Nonprofits . These basic LinkedIn Profile tips for nonprofit professionals serve as a foundation for when and if your nonprofit is ready to utilize LinkedIn Groups and Company Pages. That said, I do not cover personal LinkedIn Profiles in my upcoming webinar How Nonprofits Can Successfully Use Twitter and LinkedIn , but LinkedIn Groups and Company Pages are covered in detail in both the webinar and in the book. Finally, it’s important to understand that the line between personal and professional is blurry on LinkedIn, so much so that it’s completely respectable to use LinkedIn for personal reasons during office hours.Non-profit technology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We are currently developing a small and efficient battery powered router that allow the easy setup of a mesh based network. We call it Netowaku, Japanese for network. The goal is to allow an emergency team to deploy a communication network in the shortest amount of time and without worrying about any setup. The focus of an emergency response team is to help the people, not to waste time on IT (like having to climb a tree with a laptop).Kopernik | Technology Marketplace

Women Under Siege is calling on women and men from Syria and those working with Syrian refugees to provide us with reports of sexual violence as the crisis unfolds. We are relying on you to help us discover whether rape and sexual assault are widespread--such evidence can be used to aid the international community in grasping the urgency of what is happening in Syria, and can provide the base for potential future prosecutions. Our goal is to make these atrocities visible, and to gather evidence so that one day justice may be served. We have partnered on this project with a Harvard-based doctor and an epidemiologist from Columbia University, as well as multiple Syrian activists.
