This iteration/generation of the Polytopia Project map (derived from notthisbody's conversation mapping + ) was designed by utilising the raw information distributed to me in Australia, as it emerged in Italy, during the lead up to the Polytopia Presentation to be handed out (printed) at the TransVision 2010 conference. notthisbody , wildcat , spaceweaver and starwalker over the course of the weekend (back in the day), sent live voice recordings and ongoing 'generational conversation maps' of their discussions which consisted of distilled analysis of core values for what the Polytopia Project encompasses. Working along side them over the couple of days and integrating the highly distilled, yet raw information from their live analysis of terms, fundamental values of what the polytopia project stands for, was a great experience and one i was stoked to be involved with. http://spacecollective.org/gavinkeech/6435/Polytopia-Project-Map-GEN010

EMERGENT CITIES - BuilderShips · ImagineNations

http://emergentcities.sebpaquet.net/ In the first installment of this two-part effort , I described how social systems can become ossified and maintain an inwardly-focused culture that rests upon assumptions that are no longer warranted. Again, it can be helpful to read this while keeping in mind your favorite obsolete institution in order to map the general to the specific. The model is purposely scale-invariant: with suitable mappings, it could be applied, say, to a modest Ponzi scheme or to society-wide phenomena. 5. Hollowing Out - "Then they laugh at you" The emergence phase (#4) saw the free radicals made themselves known.

ACCOUNT PLANNING METHODS

http://account-planning-confessions.blogspot.com/ "How do you go about challenging the “sacred cow” beliefs that your company — or you yourself — hold? In “ Uncommon Sense: How to Turn Distinctive Beliefs Into Action ,” a new article in the Spring 2012 issue of MIT Sloan Management Review authors Jules Goddard, Julian Birkinshaw and Tony Eccles from the London School of Business argue that winning strategies are grounded in distinctive beliefs that ring truer with customers and prospective customers than those of rival companies. Being consistently and distinctively different means understanding your beliefs — or what the authors call your “uncommon sense.” “In our experience working with companies, there are structured ways for rethinking your basic assumptions and beliefs, and for identifying potential new directions,” they write. Here are seven steps the authors have used to start the process. The text is verbatim from their article.
