Partenariat Oriental. NEW: Plateformes multilatérales du Partenariat oriental 2014 - 2017 L'UE s'intéresse de près à la situation des pays d'Europe orientale et du Caucase du Sud. Du fait de l'élargissement de l'UE, ces pays sont désormais des voisins proches et leur sécurité, leur stabilité et leur prospérité influent de plus en plus sur celles de l'UE. Une coopération étroite avec les pays partenaires d'Europe orientale — Arménie, Azerbaïdjan, Biélorussie, Géorgie, République de Moldavie et Ukraine — revêt une grande importance pour les relations extérieures de l'UE. Lancé en 2009, le partenariat oriental est une initiative commune de l'UE, des États membres et des pays partenaires d'Europe orientale.

L'UE a présenté des idées concrètes pour chaque pays partenaire, en vue d'améliorer les relations avec chacun d'eux.
