Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. A softer world: 536. A softer world: 552. Emily Joey and I are coming to ROFLCon in Boston! We'll spend our time there shaking hands and making trouble (and also drooling all over the MIT bookstore, man that place is The Most). On Saturday, you can find us at the TopatoCo table between 2pm and 3 for all your book-buying and boob-signing needs. GUESS WHAT? Joey The We Are Become Pals book is here! It’s a hard book to describe, but this is the blurb we came up with: We are Become Pals is the story of Jane and Helen, and of their friendship. The hardcover has all the original chapters (which you can still read online for free right here), and all new material that follows their friendship further into their lives, as they get old and crotchety and awesome together. You can go right here and paste the URL of the photo you like, or hit the "buy this as a print" link under each photo and technology will take care of the rest.

A softer world: 571. Joey The Guardian named This Ain't the Rosedale Library in Toronto one of the best bookstores in the world. When my first novel came out, they were so insanely good to me. They hand sold my book to everyone who came into that place. They must have sold 500 copies, which is unheard of for a single bookstore, especially for a practically self-published book.

And now they're in serious financial trouble. And it's a shame, and a travesty and an outrage, and I think I bought maybe three books there over the last year. I buy books every week. 27. Opposites react. | Indexed. Jul 2010. Hi, Mom (and thank you)! | Indexed. Dream on, America. | Indexed. 650; The Typographical Terror. I went to lunch today at a new market-slash-sandwich place that just opened in my neighborhood. It was really good! The market (and neighborhood) is the type to offer fancy organic cold-pressed juice for eleven dollars and artisanal almond milk that comes in something that looks like baby food jars, so when I got this fork to eat my side salad with, at first I wasn’t sure if it was something exotic and fancy: I used the strange fork to eat my salad and was pleased to find that it worked really well! The tiny serrations on the tip helped spear the individual salad leaves very securely.

“Aha,” I thought, “someone has improved upon the simple fork!” I went up and asked the guy behind the counter if all his forks were like this, and he laughed and assured me they were not. I went back to work with my head spinning. Had I been struck by the sort of coincidental circumstance that led to the invention of Post-Its, Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, and representative democracy?? Look at that thing. The New Yorker on Fair Trade | ShotZombies. 626; In which Paul catches Up. I went to lunch today at a new market-slash-sandwich place that just opened in my neighborhood.
