Organize Your Filing Cabinet. I had the day off on Friday. What did I do with all that free time, you ask? Well....I cleaned the bathrooms and organized my filing cabinet, of course! I'm pretty proud of my file cabinet project and I figured a little tutorial might help someone out there in blog land. How to Organize Your Filing Cabinet 1) Organize your paperwork. BEFORE: I was using this random ugly file box and I had given up on actually filing anything. I just threw important papers in the front.

He had a lot to go through since his previous "filing system" was to shove important papers in a dresser drawer. 2) While organizing, you will also want to create a "shred/recycle" pile for outdated paperwork. 3) Buy some pretty hanging folders and file folders. 4) Depending on the piles of paperwork that your family has, create general categories. For the last 8 months he's been rewarded a gold coin for every standard chore he's done. He helped me put it all together and it's been really successful. Well, these chores have become the standard "need to be done" every day chores and we don't fee like he needs to be rewarded for all of them anymore. I take almost all of the products out of the boxes, so they’ll fit into the drawers, except for the necessary ones that have instructions, and dose sizes that I need. It looks like a lot of medication, but I swear we aren’t drug addicts. I’ve compiled and categorized enough healthy, inexpensive and easy recipes that I have a 90 day dinner menu (complete with theme nights like pasta Monday and slow-coooker Thursday) and I have the grocery lists to match.There is nothing in my house that we don’t use.
