GoDaddy now requires photo identification to release domains for transfer out if you used their private registration service. If you launch a transfer away from GoDaddy without doing this, they will simply refuse the transfer, even after you have confirmed all the transfer confirmation emails and provided the correct auth code. Many customers transferring from GoDaddy encounter a red message in our transfer section saying that some information is missing or mandatory.
