Open Graph

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/ At Facebook's core is the social graph; people and the connections they have to everything they care about. Historically, Facebook has managed this graph and has expanded it over time as we launch new products (photos, places, etc.). In 2010, we introduced an early version of Open Graph, an extension of the social graph, via the Open Graph protocol , to include 3rd party web sites and pages that people liked throughout the web.

Embeding videos

http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/486/ This weekly update comes from Dublin, Ireland, where we’ve concluded Operation Developer Love: Europe 2011. We want to thank the hundreds of developers that spoke to us and came out to our events. This trip has been invaluable to us as we think through the next steps for our products and programs. As promised at the events, we will post the slides and videos to the Dev Site as soon as we can (we hoped to have them posted by now, but are still working on getting all the materials together). Embedding videos in the News Feed Developers often want the ability to play video or flash media files within the News Feed.
Sunday, 16 May 2010 00:00 Did you know you can embed your own Videos on someone's Facebook wall when someone uses "Share on Facebook" on your website? This article will show you how to do it. *** Facebook will be eventually discontinuing the Facebook "Share" mechanism in favor of using the Facebook "Like" button.

All the images referenced by og:image must be at least 200px in both dimensions. Please check all the images with tag og:image in the given url and ensure that it meets the minimum specification.

The thumbnail's width AND height must be at least 50 pixels, and cannot exceed 130x110 pixels. The ratio of both height divided by width and width divided by height (w/h, h/w) cannot exceed 3.0. For example, an image of 126x39 pixels will not be displayed, as the ratio of width divided by height is greater than 3.0 (126/39 = 3.23). Images will be resized proportionally. by nicolas Dec 5

http://ogp.me/#structured The Open Graph protocol enables any web page to become a rich object in a social graph. For instance, this is used on Facebook to allow any web page to have the same functionality as any other object on Facebook. While many different technologies and schemas exist and could be combined together, there isn't a single technology which provides enough information to richly represent any web page within the social graph. The Open Graph protocol builds on these existing technologies and gives developers one thing to implement. Developer simplicity is a key goal of the Open Graph protocol which has informed many of the technical design decisions .
http://code.google.com/p/facebook-actionscript-api/ The new Adobe ActionScript 3 SDK for Facebook Platform API, fully supported by Facebook and Adobe, makes it easy to build applications that combine the strengths of the Flash Platform. Developed by gskinner.com, this class library facilitates the development of Flash Platform applications that communicate with Facebook using the OpenGraph API. The Adobe Flash Platform and Facebook Platform provide the ideal solution for building rich, social experiences on the web. Flash is available on more than 98% of Internet-connected PCs, so people can immediately access the applications, content, and video that enable social interactions.

http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/402/ First, we are upgrading the authentication mechanism we use for all callback URLs to be based on OAuth 2.0. You can read more about the new signature scheme and can test it out in your own applications by turning on the "OAuth 2.0 for Canvas" migration in your application settings . This setting will become the default for all new applications during the next couple months.
